A look upon the glowing glass ball
To gaze upon the future, near or far,
And ease a troubled mind
Or frighten one far too bold.
A moment is all it takes
And yet an eternity may pass
Before a wish to truly see
A possible time to come.
Whatever is seen,
Whatever seems carved,
Can be transformed in one act alone.
It takes not the world to fall
For a gloomy future to turn bright,
Though what it will take will be discovered
Whether sought after or chanced upon.
When taking a quick glance,
One must understand such things,
For not everything dark stays in shadows,
And not everything bright illuminates forever.
Perhaps it takes not a magic orb
But just sets of eyes
To unfold what could be
To see what can change
To give one the chance to undo
Before future comes to pass.
