So vast the land lies below me
Stretching farther than I can see,
It never ceases to amaze a mind
Reaching to the world to find
The beauty of the world unknown
Or untouched, yet not alone.
For little voices call out
As the winds blow by to shout,
Creating a melody to be heard
And taken in without a spoken word.
I could stand here all day,
Listening to the busts and creatures play
For a certain tranquility hangs in the air,
Created by what or coming from where
I shall not desire to wonder
For life can no longer go asunder
With its presence captivating us all.
It comforts the sorrow, covering like a shawl,
Sooths the anger, removing control,
Dissipates the jealousy, clutching the soul,
Welcomes in blank slate, to fill
With whichever magical feeling we will.
